Terms of Service

Effective date: October 14, 2026. These Terms form an agreement between you and JurisTrainer LLC (“JurisTrainer,” “we,” “us”), which operates the JurisTrainer website, iPhone and iPad app, and related services. By accessing or using the website, app, or related services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Who may use the service; accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account or use an account-based feature. If you are under the age of majority where you live, use JurisTrainer only with parent or legal guardian permission and oversight where required by law; you represent that you have obtained any required permission. You are responsible for activity through your account and for keeping your sign-in method secure. Do not impersonate another person or provide information you are not authorized to use. Contact us if you believe your account was accessed without permission.

Educational practice; no guarantees

JurisTrainer provides independent educational practice and study-planning tools. It does not provide legal, admissions, or professional advice; its questions and explanations may contain errors and are not official test material. We do not promise a score, admission, test result, or other outcome. Verify important testing and admissions requirements with the relevant organization.

Acceptable use and content rights

Use the service lawfully and for personal study. Do not interfere with the service, probe or bypass its security, scrape or mass-download content, distribute account access, submit malicious code, or copy, sell, publish, or make a competing product from our materials without permission. We grant you a limited, personal, revocable, nonexclusive license to use the website, app, and their content for your own study. We retain rights in original materials we own. Third-party names and marks remain their owners’ property.

Availability; changes; suspension

We may update, suspend, or discontinue features, and may restrict access for a material breach, security concern, or legal requirement. We will take reasonable steps to give notice of material changes when appropriate. Continued use after revised Terms take effect means you accept them; if you disagree, stop using the service.

Payments and subscriptions

JT Plus is an optional monthly auto-renewing subscription. The website plan is currently US $4.99 per month, plus applicable tax. The first charge is due when checkout completes. Before purchase, Stripe Checkout shows the amount due and payment details. The subscription renews automatically each month until canceled. You must affirmatively check the auto-renewal consent box before we create a website checkout. You authorize recurring charges to the payment method you provide for each renewal. To cancel online, sign in, open your profile, and choose “Manage Stripe subscription”; cancellation prevents future renewals and access continues through the current paid period. You do not need to contact support to cancel. The Stripe customer portal confirms when cancellation takes effect.

If you subscribe in the iOS app, Apple processes the in-app purchase. The App Store purchase sheet shows the price and billing period for your Apple Account before you confirm. Apple-billed subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel through your Apple Account subscription settings; Apple’s purchase flow states the cancellation deadline and renewal timing. Website billing and Apple billing are separate purchase channels, so cancel through the channel where you subscribed. Restore Purchases can restore eligible Apple purchases on supported devices.

If we change the price or material renewal terms, we will provide notice and cancellation instructions before the change takes effect where required by law. Apple and Stripe process payment information under their own terms and privacy notices. Taxes, price, renewal timing, and payment method shown in the relevant checkout or App Store purchase sheet control your transaction. Refunds are handled under applicable law and the relevant payment provider’s process. Nothing in these Terms limits a refund or other right that cannot legally be waived.

Disclaimers

To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, noninfringement, uninterrupted availability, or error-free content. Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or right that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, JurisTrainer LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or lost profits, data, goodwill, or opportunities, arising from use of the service. To the extent permitted by law, total liability for claims related to the service will not exceed the greater of amounts you paid us for the service in the 12 months before the event or US $50. These limits do not apply where law prohibits them, including liability that cannot legally be limited.

Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to be responsible for third-party claims caused by your unlawful use of the service or your material breach of these Terms. This does not require you to indemnify us for our own negligence, misconduct, or other liability that applicable law does not allow you to shift.

Governing law; disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where consumer-protection laws require otherwise. Courts with jurisdiction over the operator and the dispute may hear claims, subject to any mandatory venue or consumer-rights rules.

Apple app license

The app downloaded from the App Store is also subject to Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, unless a different license is expressly provided through the App Store. JurisTrainer LLC is responsible for the JurisTrainer service and support. These Terms supplement the applicable app license and do not remove mandatory consumer rights or change Apple’s payment and subscription terms.

It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, approved by, or connected to LSAC, the LSAT, any testing organization, law school, government agency, or admissions office. Materials are original practice content and are not official examination questions.
